Let’s Share Some Spaghetti!

A letter to Leslie Smith, editor of Dogtime

Dear Leslie,

Thank you very much for your guest column here on Zoe about not having cats on the kitchen counter – especially when you may be having guests over for Thanksgiving.

“Counter-walking cats,” you write, “should be kept out of the kitchen during preparation and during dinner when the extra food is just sitting there.”

That sounds like reasonable advice. But a reader of your column just sent us this video of Mackinaw Queenie and Kenzie in the kitchen:

Since you’re the editor of Dogtime, we’d like your unbiased opinion!

All good wishes,

Michael Mountain

Fantastic! Love that the dog has no desire to taste the bird -- it's all about the pasta. Equally priceless, the Mackinaw seems to be consciously sharing her stash with the dog -- to his credit, he's offering a perfect "sit." Still, I think I'd pass on a dinner invitation there... Thanks so much for posting!
